Following an evangelistic outreach led by Gabriel Kijjambu in 2004 some 30 people were saved forming the nucleus of a new church in Kiryanyzona Village, Luwero. Services initially were held under a tree until a temporary timber building was construction. Since then a church leadership team has been established with departmental heads for different aspects of the church’s work.
Plans have been approved for the construction of a 1200 seated church building with ancillary facilities.
The church serves the local community. Regular activities include Sunday services, mid-week Bible studies, an all-night prayer meeting on Fridays, training and teaching sessions on a wide range of subjects. Many ventures are undertaken with other evangelical churches in the area, particularly at holiday times.
An annual youth camp takes place in August and an annual Pastor’s conference in May.
