A much needed resource for the community is a local clinic. As a result of the generosity of a UK company, Lakeland Limited, funds were provided to build a clinic in 2009. Another UK trust, Aid to Hospitals Worldwide, generously provided medical equipment with which to equip the clinic. The clinic provides a range of healthcare facilities including testing for malaria, HIV/AIDS, pregnancy as well as basic treatments for minor ailments and small wards for short stay patients. The clinic is staffed full-time by two nurses and periodically by a visiting doctor.
